It means a wrongful action is not a practical or morally appropriate way to correct or cancel a previous wrongful action.
Being reactionary and pro-active are two separate things. In one, you are controlled by your emotions and conscience takes a backseat. In the other, you don’t need to take things lying down but there is a much larger picture and context in which the situation is seen and your actions are no-nonsense and firm, but also positive and focussed on solutions.
It’s upon you — Do you want pain and negative thoughts and emotions to rule you OR would you rather simply free yourself through positive action ? Opt out of the cycle and say, “Because you have done something wrong isn’t a reason for me to become someone I’d rather not be”.
Remember that the quality of your life and personality is not shaped by what happens to you, but by your reaction to it.
