Self Reflection is your own Personal Analysis. It is the process of change from the way you are now and what you actually want to be by understanding and getting to know yourself.
It improves Self Awareness. Think of it is a tool to gradually paving the way within yourself by which you will realise and become aware of the strengths and weaknesses.
It provides a Perspective to see things in a different way. For instance, when you are having a conversation with someone, it would be helpful if there is a mutual act of listening, absorbing, understanding and then commenting to make the situation much easier. Make a habit of Thinking outside the box.
It helps us in implementing the thought of Think before you speak. For instance, your Employer has advised you to wait for sometime instead of directly jumping to conclusions. This actually is a way to understand the complete scenario and then take appropriate action.
It helps us Challenge our own point of view so that we can think it throughout and then act accordingly which in turn helps in growing and flourishing in our career.
Self Reflection process can be understood easily by implementing HOLA. Everytime you think the time has come to self reflect, repeat HOLA just three times and start :-
H – Halt to understand the situation.
O – Observe the factors surrounding it.
L – Listen to your inner wisdom by meditating and let it guide you .
A – Act accordingly to resolve the situation.
