Self-discipline

From our childhood, we have been taught the importance of Discipline. It helps in maintaining a balance in life. Be it in Schools, Colleges, Companies, Armed Forces – Discipline is a very important factor.

What if we implement Self Discipline in our everyday life chores and not just at our workplaces or schools and colleges? It will help in organise our lives and make us grow. There will be less chaos and more peace.

But then a question arises – Will we stop enjoying this beautiful life? No, Absolutely not. Self-discipline does not mean to stop celebrating our lives . It teaches us To be more Focused and Dedicated in life.

Don’t we often proscrastinate things which will actually make us achieve major milestones be it in career or day to day life? Self Discipline will help us in Being Practical. It will get us far far away from Lethargic thoughts.

It makes us Free from the expectations of others , from fear and weakness. It helps us to Be Ourselves, master of our own thoughts and Emotions.

It is like a Mental state of commitment.The more you exercise it, the stronger it gets.

Self-discipline is an act of cultivation. It requires you to connect today’s actions to tomorrow’s results.

In the words of German Philosopher Theodore Adorne for the importance of self discipline, “Work while you work, play while you play – this is a basic rule of self-discipline”.
